
Arasangam in the direction of Madhesh and prouced by LK Sudish marks the 150th film of Vijaykanth, popularly known as Captain. The movie is scheduled to release on the 11th of April 2008, but the audio for the movie was launched earlier today. Music for the movie is by Srikanth Deva.
The Arasangam Audio Launch took place in a star hotel in Chennai and was packed with political and cinema personalities. Amongst the movie personnel were producers LM Muralidaran, Azhagan Tamilmani, Kalai Puli S Dhanu, Khaja Mohideen, Ayangaran Karunamoorthy, PL Thenappan, KR and Sivashakti Pandian. Producers' Council President Ramanarayan released the first audio CD which was received by Pyramid Saimira’s KS Srinivasan.
The VIPs who spoke at the event commended Vijayakanth’s sense of punctuality and hard work. Director Madhesh narrated an incident that happened during the shoot while at Canada. Apparently Captain was quite ill, but not wanting to postpone the shoot and increase the production expenses, he came for the shoot and worked without complaining.
Vijayakanth who spoke at the event said that the movie was far from any political influences and was entirely the story of a police official. The movie is titled Arasangam because the police force is one of the most important executive bodies of the Government. The story moves at a good pace, with many twists, culminating in an extraordinary climax. The movie stresses on the exploitation of the youth by terrorist groups who aim at the downfall of the nation. On the music he said that the songs were not only good to listen to but that the video was as good. He added that the audio launch was taking places simultaneously in 60 other cities across the state.
A 30-second trailer of the movie was screened at the launch. The trailer revealed that the movie is full of suspense and thrills. Captain promised that not just his fight sequences but everything else about the movie will be talked about. That we are sure about!
