He began his career as a mimicry artiste and a stage singer. Who has begun shooting for the movie Dindugal Sarathy. It is the remake of Vadakku Nokki Endhiram, a Malayalam movie directed by Srinivasan.

Dindugal Sarathy, will have Karunas playing a egoist husband, whose wife’s beauty leaves him insecure and unhappy. This leads him to hate good-looking men and how he handles this insecurity forms the movie’s climax.
